LifestyleGarden® produces repurposed furniture that looks great, is weather-resistant, requires very little maintenance and is made to last. All our products have been designed to be used outdoors throughout the year in all types of weather conditions. During the off-season, it is recommended the product is stored inside or covered.

PREVENTING OCEAN WASTE FROM ENTERING THE OCEAN
DuraOcean® is an innovative plastic material made with recycled plastic input material. This allows us to deliver a material that is created with up to 93% recycled base material. The plastic is created from ropes, sourced from harbours and maritime industry areas, allowing LifestyleGarden® to prevent the material from being wasted or polluting the ocean. The plastic waste is transformed into a valuable recycled raw material, which is delivered to us in pellet form. This is done after a series of washing and cleaning of the material, after sorting based on the type of plastic to ensure the highest quality and properties. These pellets are mixed into a resin with other additives – all of which are REACH compliant and recyclable – and injected into our custom-built moulds. The result is a UV-resistant and ergonomically designed product that is supported by our hard-wearing FSC®-certified Brazilian Eucalyptus wood. This combination of nature and plastic is the DuraOcean® chairs and tables.
DuraOcean® chairs are the world’s first commercially available chairs made with marine plastic waste, setting the benchmark for sustainable material usage and design.
The DuraOcean® products are designed for disassembly, meaning that the design allows each component in its purest form to be recycled into new production circles.

DuraOcean® is made with recycled plastics originating from marine material - mainly consisting of ropes that have been safely prevented from polluting the oceans, cleaned and turned into beautiful chairs and tables. DuraOcean® is fully recyclable, after use you can dispose of the buckets and the top of the tables at a green point station near your home. Most countries have these stations available; as an alternative, you can also leave the plastic buckets and table tops on the container for plastic bottles.
DuraOcean® doesn’t contain any harmful chemicals and it is completely safe for the environment. All the DuraOcean® products have been manufactured according to rigorous standards and in accordance with the EU laws that banned harmful chemicals (REACH). We have made DuraOcean® products from recycled plastic and stabilizers free to reduce our environmental footprint.
LifestyleGarden® DuraOcean® products require no maintenance and can be cleaned easily using soap and water. With intense and prolonged exposure to sunlight, the colour may fade slightly so it is highly recommended to cover the items when not in use, and/or store inside during harsh weather and winter.

FSC™ CERTIFIED EUCALYPTUS
For hardwood products LifestyleGarden® uses FSC® certified eucalyptus, a natural, living material that adds character to any piece of outdoor furniture, in addition to being durable and long-lasting.
Minor cracks and colour variations that occur over time are natural features of hardwood and only serve to enhance the character and authentic appearance of the furniture.
All hardwood products have been specially in-house treated with a unique water-based finish, Duragrain®, that provides protection while also allowing the natural grain of the wood to be appreciated through the unique coloured finish. We suggest a bi-annual treatment of LifestyleGarden®’s Wood Sealer and Wood Protector to maintain a pristine look

Duragrain® products will retain their colour for many years although if constantly exposed to the sun, the colour will fade after approximately 6 months without maintenance.

The wood used for manufacturing our products can be traced all the way back to its origin. All of the wood is exclusively grown on FSC(TM) certified regenerated plantations. This means you can trace the furniture all the way to the place where the tree once grew, and know it came from a responsibly managed forect.
Lifestylegarden®'s Hardwood complies with EU Timber regulations, the Australian Illegal Logging Prohibition Act 2011 and the Lacey Act in the USA.
All LifestyleGarden® furniture is designed and manufactured to provide the highest levels of durability, as well as looking great with a minimum of maintenance. However, it should be noted that it is quite natural for timber to shrink and expand depending on humidity levels. Hardwood products have been primarily designed and manufactured for use in our normal summer climate and it is recommended that the product is covered during heavy snow and rainfall to prolong the life and maintaining the premium-quality finishes used on many of our pieces.
LifestyleGarden® hardwood products require maintenance every six months. Should the surface become dirty, greasy or oily it is recommended that a brush or cloth is used for easy removal. To remove rough patches first sand the surface and then apply LifestyleGarden®’s Wood Sealer and Wood Protector to protect the furniture in all weather conditions as well as maintaining the natural golden-brown colour.
DURESIN®, OUR FANTASTIC USE OF PLASTIC
Duresin® is our unique formulation of 100% virgin polypropylene without fibre glass and is ideal for outdoor use. This material contains no harmful chemicals and can be recycled without producing waste.
Duresin® is mould-injected in order to create hard-wearing, recyclable and maintenance-free products. Once injected into the mould and formed, polypropylene and composite polypropylene are extremely durable, creating long-lasting furniture with UV resistance.

ALUPRINT®: THE LOOK OF REAL WOOD, WITH THE MAINTENANCE FREE ADVANTAGE OF ALUMINIUM
LifestyleGarden®’s AluPrint® is our own patented way of printing beautiful finishes onto aluminium profiles to lift the look of the material to the next level.
Done entirely in-house, this finish allows us to add a natural look to the metal, while maintaining a very low weight and high durability. AluPrint® also allows us to find new ways of adding details to our products that adds just that extra touch to the pieces of any outdoor space and allowing for zero maintenance and premium weather resistance.

HANDWOVEN PETAN® SYNTHETIC WICKER FOR ALL WEATHERS
Petan® is our environmentally friendly, durable and weather resistant wicker which has a natural colour and feel. Petan® has been developed to provide the highest levels of performance for use in outdoor furniture.
Petan® is made from raw polyethylene mixed with eco-friendly colour additives, making it 100% recyclable. Also, unlike other producers of synthetic wicker, LifestyleGarden® uses no harmful chemicals to make Petan®. Our specially formulated blends give the Petan® fibre its unique look and extra strength and also produce a surface that is extremely comfortable to sit on while also being able to withstand heavy use. Petan® has excellent colour fastness and is also very flexible, meaning complex weaves can be achieved to create beautiful designs.

Petan® products will retain their colour as only the highest-grade colour pigment is used to ensure maximum colour fastness. However if Petan® is subjected to extreme weather conditions for extended periods of time, the colour may fade slightly.

UNIQUE FSC™ DURABOARD® PREMIUM TABLE TOPS
FSC™ DuraBoard® Premium by LifestyleGarden® is an environmentally friendly material that is durable, highly UV-resistant and has a unique surface finish. It features two main components: the first is a unique blend of high quality FSC™ eucalyptus sawdust and polyethylene resin, extruded to create a strong, durable structure. A specialised digital printing allows us to apply high-resolution finishes on our FSC™ Dura Board® material, enabling new levels of design detail and freedom. The table top is treated with UV and receives a multi-layer coating which makes it highly resistant to all weather conditions.
The production of DuraBoard® occurs entirely in-house, enabling each stage of the process to be closely monitored for quality control purposes. Due to the combination of the two components and the highly durable surface finish created, LifestyleGarden® DuraBoard® is the future of table top surfaces.

FSC™ CERTIFIED TEAK
Teak is the natural choice for premium outdoor furniture. This material is one of the most sought after wood species in the world, renowned for its strength, durability and beautiful appearance.
LifestyleGarden® only uses teak that is FSC™ certified – timber is grown in responsibly managed plantations or has been sourced and recycled from components and structures on the island of Java. The wood originates from barns, houses, railway sleepers and other constructions. The wood is bought from the original sources before it is brushed, cleaned and repaired to give it a beautiful, rustic appearance.
Teak ages beautifully with the original golden-brown colour gradually becoming replaced by a silver-grey patina if left untreated, which gives a classic, rustic appearance. This generally begins to happen after 4-5 months without treatment. If left untreated for 2 years, the silver-grey patina will change to a dark grey or green colour.

Although teak is renowned for its rich golden-brown appearance, it is also highly prized for its classic, aged appearance, which occurs after exposure to the elements. Overtime, teak will naturally develop a mature, silver-grey patina, which many connoisseurs prefer. Generally, this begins to occur after 4-5 months without treatment but if the teak is left untreated for 2 years, the silver-grey patina will become a much darker grey to green colour.

Olefin offers supreme durability due to its fibres containing less moisture which allows it to dry more quickly than other textiles. Furthermore, Olefin is resistant to abrasions, stains, sunlight, fire and chemicals.
Polyester is used for its high-quality performance and appearance which is a result of the woven structures that resemble a linen fabric.

The Weather-net® manufacturing process is highly integrated, beginning with the extrusion of the polyester yarn, weaving and pressing before the completed Weather-net® is attached to one of LifestyleGarden’s many chair frames.
