Recyclable and recycled plastic: Duresin® and DuraOcean®
With plastic usage being high on the international agenda, LifestyleGarden® is extremely proud to confirm that it has already taken steps to reduce even more the impact of its plastic products, including a new recycled plastic material that will be unveiled soon. Duresin® and DuraOcean® are both innovative, sustainable and form an important part of the circular economy:
Duresin® is a unique and stand-out formulation that contains no harmful chemicals, while the material can be fully recycled, eliminating waste. DuraOcean® is made from recycled ropes from the maritime industry to prevent plastic from polluting our oceans.
Both materials are also cleverly designed for full disassembly, meaning that all the products can be easily recycled at the end of their life.
Petan®
Another winner in LifestyleGarden®’s armoury is Petan®, a synthetic rattan fibre that is not only durable and weather-resistant but a wicker that displays a natural colour and feel, providing a further option for consumers who want something natural looking without compromising on quality or longevity.
Petan® is made from raw polyethylene mixed with eco-friendly colour additives, resulting in a range that’s 100% recyclable.
Aluminum & Duracoat®
Aluminium offers the latest in contemporary style and all LifestyleGarden® aluminium furniture is protected with Duracoat®. Not only does this multi-layer, oven-cured powder coating offer sophisticated appeal, but it provides a high-class finish that’s resistant to the worst that British weather can throw at it.
Cast aluminium in the Portals range is manufactured using die-casting technology, allowing for ergonomic design and the creation of unique shapes. The result is supremely weather-resistant and lightweight aluminium frames, protected by Duracoat®, to ensure that furniture stands the test of time.
FSC Teak
Teak remains one of the world’s most desired species of wood.
